Tracing of
Core Gas

When using a core during sand casting, defects may occur due to the core gas generated from the core, which may deteriorate the product integrity. The Core Gas feature is optimized for designing a gas discharge system during casting and predicting the location of defects by calculating the amount of Core Gas generated when the melt and core and contacted, also being able to track the movement of the generated gas and identifying the final isolated location.

Tracing of Core Gas

Product Name : CYLINDER BLOCK

Melt Material : FC250 (JIS)

Core Material : Furan Sand

  • Prediction of total amount of gas generated
  • Prediction of amount of gas penetrating into product and mold
  • Prediction of amount of gas remaining in product and core
  • Prediction of amount of gas discharged through installed vent
  • Mold permeability setting and binder content setting for each core
  • Set the porosity during use and the start temperature of gas discharge

Gas Pressure

AnyCasting’s Gas Pressure feature helps to easily identify the location of gas defects caused by the isolation of air during filling and flow process of the melt. Our software locates gas defects by comparing the pressure of air versus the pressure of the melt. Any area where the pressure of air is higher is considered a defect area.

Gas Pressure

Product Name : BED PLATE

Melt Material : FC250 (JIS)

  • Display defect information with just one click with no need for filling videos
  • Check the soundness of the runner shape and location
  • Predict the result of isolated gas being discharged through vent and parting line
